Planning the cladding

These are square-edge boards rather than a weatherproof tongue-and-groove system. The board spacing, sub-frame, ventilation, moisture detailing and fixing pattern must be designed for the intended wall or screen. Confirm the required overlap or gap before calculating coverage.

Natural timber appearance

European larch is a natural material, so variations in colour, grain and knots should be expected. If left untreated outdoors, the surface will gradually weather and change colour. A compatible exterior timber finish can be applied and maintained if you prefer to retain more of the original tone.

Installation guidance

Store the timber flat, dry and supported before installation. Use exterior-grade fixings compatible with the timber, pre-drill near board ends where necessary and allow suitable spacing, ventilation and movement for the intended application. The supporting frame, fixing centres and method must suit the finished structure and site exposure.
