Treatex Bangkirai Oil 2.5L

Treatex Bangkirai Oil 2.5L helps protect hardwood timber from sunlight and weather while bringing out its natural grain. Suitable for decking, garden furniture and cladding, it provides a water-resistant finish that will not flake or peel.

Made using natural oils, including sunflower, soybean and rapeseed oil, this treatment is designed for Bangkirai and other suitable hardwoods.

Suitable timbers and uses

Recommended for Bangkirai, Yellow and Red Balau, Karri, Massaranduba, Iroko and Ipe. Suitable for interior and exterior use, including hardwood decking, garden furniture and cladding.

Not suitable for timbers with a high tannin content, such as oak.

Coverage

A 2.5-litre tin covers approximately 50m² with one coat, depending on the timber and application method. For a two-coat treatment, allow approximately 25m² per tin. Rough or absorbent surfaces may require more oil.

Preparation and application

Ensure the timber is dry, clean and free from dust, grease and algae. Remove loose or flaking coatings before treatment. Unfinished timber gives the best results; test compatibility before applying over an existing finish.

Stir thoroughly before and during application. Apply evenly with a brush or roller, treating the end grain carefully. Allow approximately 12 hours before applying the second coat, then a further 12 hours to dry. Drying times depend on conditions.

Always test a small area first to check the appearance and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Pack size: 2.5 litres.
